Ideas are not imposed but born of an active relational understanding between maker and material. These photos reflect a selection of material experiments based on this philosophy as an addition to a design making process. It is an intuitive exploration where the end result is not foreseen. Artifacts emerge through a mutual relationship. These artifacts were made between 2017-2019 using a variety of mixed materials including stockings, stuffing, felt, wood, plastic, foam, and beans.
